Archiving & Digital Preservation Policy

The International Journal of Community Health Sciences (IJCHS) is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scientific literature. To ensure that published articles remain permanently available to the global academic community even in the event of unforeseen system failures or journal discontinuation, IJCHS employs robust digital archiving and repository strategies.

Digital Archiving Systems

IJCHS utilizes the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN) to create permanent digital archives of published content across distributed library networks.

This ensures decentralized, long-term preservation and guarantees persistent access to full-text articles via LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archival infrastructure.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors are encouraged to deposit all manuscript versions in institutional, subject-based, or open public repositories.

Deposition of the published PDF version is permitted immediately upon publication without embargo, provided a link to the original DOI is included.

Self-Archiving Permissions

Manuscript Version Allowed Action Permitted Repositories / Conditions
Preprint (Submitted Version) ✓ Allowed Any repository or preprint server (e.g., medRxiv, bioRxiv) anytime.
Postprint (Accepted Version) ✓ Allowed Institutional repositories or academic networks immediately upon acceptance.
Published Version (Publisher's PDF) ✓ Allowed Institutional archives, ResearchGate, Academia.edu, or personal websites with DOI citation.

Permanent Digital Identifier

All published articles are assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registered with Crossref.
